Instrumentation may not be returned without first completing a Return Goods and Decontamination (RGD) Form. When returning instrumentation for service, please contact Campden Instruments stating the model number, serial number, reason for return and the RGD for will be sent by e-mail. Shipments cannot be received at the PO Box address. The items should be packed well, preferably in it’s original packaging, insured for full value, and returned along with a cover letter explaining the malfunction. Please also state the name of the Campden Instruments representative authorizing the return. An estimate of repair or service cost will be given prior to completion. We must the receive a hard copy of your purchase order by mail or fax, or repair work cannot commence. |
Equipment Damaged in Transit |
Customers must inspect shipments immediately upon arrival. Damaged equipment must not be returned without firstly reporting the problem to Campden Instruments carrying out a thorough inspection with photgraphs taken with a digital camera and discussing actions then are required. When a shipment arrives damaged, note damage on delivery bill and have the driver sign it to acknowledge the damage. Contact the delivery service, and they will file an insurance claim. When damage is not detected at the time of delivery, contact the carrier within 24 hours and request an inspection within 5 working days of the original delivery. Please call the Lafayette Instrument Customer Service Department for a return authorization for repair or replacement of the damaged merchandise. |
